EXECUTIVE

The Executive of Netball Alberta meets once a month and works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep Netball Alberta running. Everything from running registration to organizing fundraising events to planning trips and tournaments. VOTING MEMBERS


  • Vice-President: Jo Monaghan (also Secretary) secretary@netballalberta.com
    Position intended as a preliminary to the Presidency. VP chairs meetings and performs the responsibilities of the President if absent, & is responsible for one other portfolio on the Executive

  • Secretary: Jo Monaghan secretary@netballalberta.com
    Compiles agendas & records minutes for executive meetings & AGM, deals with all correspondence relating to the position & performs other secretarial roles as required.

  • Treasurer: Erin Lopaschuk treasurer@netballalberta.com
    Must hold CFA Accreditation. Treasurer reports to the Executive on Association’s finances, provides financial recommendations to the executive, acts as a signing authority on cheques, keeps accounting records current & deals with all correspondence relating to the position including budgets & taxes.

  • Registration: Shirley Stoddart registration@netballalberta.com
    Deals with Registration matters including fees, payment, receipts, coordinates the logistics of registrations, maintains member databases & member information & performs other duties as required related to registration & membership.

  • Coaching Director: Paula MacWilliam (also President) president@netballalberta.com
    Organizes coaches & managers for league & provincial teams, coordinates NCCP courses & conducts NCCP level 1 practical coaching courses, assists in selection of league teams, conducts netball 101 assessment clinics, performs other coaching duties & manages all matters related to coaching.

  • Marketing/Promotions: Julie Arnold (also Webmaster) website@netballalberta.com
    Seeks out sponsors and opportunities to market Netball Alberta, ensures that related organizations are aware of Netball Alberta activities, communicates regularly with the NA webmaster & newsletter coordinator, & keeps databases of contacts, keeps samples of marketing & promotional collateral, assists with registration, fundraising & other promotions/activities, performs other duties & deals with all correspondence relating to the position.

  • Fundraising: Caroline Csak fundraising@netballalberta.com
    Organizes & sources ideas for fundraising events, manages logistics & operations of fundraising activities, collects proceeds & turns them over to the treasurer with back-up records.

  • Elite Programme Coordinator: Contact Coaching/President Paula MacWilliam president@netballalberta.com
    Assists with identification & development of players at club & provincial level, planning & management of elite development programmes & services, preparat ion of the Alberta Netball provincial teams for the Canadian National Championships, provides fitness, coaching & mentoring & perorms other duties related to elite athlete management & development.

  • Recreational Ladies Programme Coordinator: Lucy Spence recreational@netballalberta.com
    Manages the smooth running of the recreational league, communicates with recreational players  to act as a ‘go between’ between players & the Executive, assists with new player recruitment, registration, introductory netball programmes, fundraising & other duties as required.

  • U12 Youth Programme Coordinator: Emma Wilton junior@netballalberta.com
    Assists with identification of development players at club level, overall planning & management of the U12 programmes & services, trains an U12 team & assists with mentoring of junior U12 coaches, attends league & manages the smooth running of the U12 league, communicates with parents & U12 players, performs other duties as required related to U12 programmes & development.

  • Parent/Volunteer Representative: Caroline Csak (also Fundraising coordinator) fundraising@netballalberta.com
    Helps manage parent volunteers for score keeping & time keeping for recreational league, communicates with parents & volunteers to acts as a ‘go between’ for parents, volunteers & the Executive, assists with new player recruitment, registration, introductory netball programmes & coordinating fundraising activities with parents & volunteers.

NON-EXECUTIVE / NON-VOTING POSITIONS

Non-executive, non-voting members of the Netball Alberta Executive assist in Netball Alberta in their designated roles but do not submit a vote at any Executive meetings.
