Fundraising is an integral part of Netball Alberta. Without these Fundraising events and activities we could not provide the many opportunities to all our members. CURRENT INITIATIVES
$35K FOR 35 YEARS: FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN 2010
Netball Alberta is very proud to announce our 35 years of playing Netball in Alberta, running school clinics, weekly leagues and invitation tournaments for U12, U16, U18, U23, Open Ladies & Gents. As a non-for-profit sporting group of predominantly women, playing a sport that is largely unknown in Canada, we are at a huge disadvantage for funding, and we rely heavily on the generousity of sponsors and supporters, as well as our fundraising efforts in order to be able to continue with our operating costs. In this important year of our 35th anniversary, 2010, when our Casino Funding has been significantly decreased, we have to upgrade our fundraising efforts.
Our campaign for 2010 is relatively modest – we would like to get 35 companies or individuals to donate $1000 and achieve
raising $35,000 for 35 years of developing this great sport in Alberta, in order to continue pursuing our successes & development of the sport in our province. (Donation Cheques made payable to Netball Canada can qualify for a tax receipt). We will add your company logo to our website www.netballalberta.com as a sponsor for 2010, and will invite representatives to our End of Season Tournament & Awards Banquet on March 13, 2010.

CASINO
Our largest fundraising event is the casino night which runs once every 18 months. The last casino night was in March 2009.
More information will be provided about the next casino night, September 20th/21st 2010 (details to be advised) closer to the time.
