RISK MANAGEMENT

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR NETBALL ALBERTA REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS

• Coaches and Managers will be appointed to the positions and be required to complete forms providing all relevant personal information.
  

• Coaches and managers appointed are required to undergo Police checks.
  

• Prior to team selections all players, caregivers and clubs are provided with a list of fixtures and made aware of the commitments required to participate.   This commitment form is signed and returned to the appointed coach prior to trials commencing.
  

• Upon selection of the teams all players are required to complete the individual player consent form.  This includes information on the players contact details and an agreement to not smoke, drink alcohol or leave the team environment.
  

• The medical history of each player is collected.
  

• All fixture arrangements are given to players, parents/caregivers no less than 5 days prior to departure to each fixture.
  

• Players will be required to remain with the team at all times, however in extenuating circumstances permission may be granted to players to leave the team environment by prior and agreed arrangement.
  

• Players will not be permitted to consume alcohol or smoke cigarettes while under team conditions and/or representing Alberta Netball.
  

• Players are required to adhere to all reasonable rules and/or requirements as agreed by the team and team management.
  

• Any player who fails to meet any conditions as set down by team management and Alberta Netball will have their team status reviewed.
