The Open team put up a great fight as underdogs vs B.C in their first game on Saturday morning, in defense especially winning a lot of turnovers that were unfortunately not capitalized on, but proved to make B.C work hard for every point they scored to win 46-17. The Open team came out on top in their second game Saturday afternoon vs Quebec, winning 38-34. Then by changing their strategy defensively as a team, the Open team were able to slow down and rattle Ontario's fast and arial style of play in their first game Sunday morning, although Ontario were still able secure the win 52-25.
Facing off against Quebec again for the Bronze medal, this time 2 players down due to injury, the team fought with their heads held high until the final whistle scoring the final shot in the dying seconds of the game on the buzzer, but despite moments when a come-back looked evident Quebec managed to hold on to win the Bronze 42-36.
In the Open Division B.C placed first and Ontario placed second overall (final score 48 - 34).
