Stampede Showdown Netball Tournament

Netball Alberta is thrilled to host the Stampede Showdown Netball Tournament in celebration of our 50th Anniversary! This premier indoor tournament will bring together teams and players of all levels for an exciting weekend of high-energy competition and community spirit.
This year’s event will take place at the University of Calgary’s Jack Simpson Gymnasium, offering a top-tier playing experience. In addition to the tournament, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the world-famous Calgary Stampede and explore the stunning Banff National Park during their visit.

Team Registration

Is your team ready for the Showdown? We can't wait to host you! We have two registration options:

• ANA Member Registration: this is for local teams, where all members individually hold a current ANA membership. Registration for ANA teams is $300 per team.
• Non-ANA Member Registration: this is for visiting teams. Teams will be asked to provide evidence of liability insurance before participating.  Registration for Non-ANA Teams is $450 per team.

Individual Registration

Not part of an existing team, but ready to compete? We will find a team for you!  We have two registration options:

• ANA Member Registration: this is for local players who hold a current ANA membership. Registration for ANA individual players is $40.
• Non-ANA Member Registration: this is for visiting players. Players will be asked to provide evidence of liability insurance before participating. Registration for Non-ANA individual players is $60.

Registration FAQ

​How do I register my team?

• Team captains will follow the Team Registration button above and complete their individual registration. When prompted, they will select "Create a new team". Once they have finished their individual registration, they will receive an email with a registration code. Please share this code with all of your teammates – this will allow them to register and join your team.
• Didn't receive your registration code? Email [email protected] and we will be happy to help you out!

How do I join a team?

• Ensure you have received your team's registration code from your captain. Follow the Team Registration button above and complete your individual registration. When prompted, enter your registration code to join your team. 

Can I do the registration for my entire team?

• We are using TeamLinkt for this tournament, which allows each player to log on to the website or app throughout the tournament to check live standings, receive email notifications from the organizers, and view other teams. As each player is required to sign an electronic waiver, unfortunately each individual will need to register separately. 

How do the fees work for this tournament?

• For Teams: Teams are charged a base team registration fee regardless of how many players are on the roster (maximum of 12 players). These fees will be collected via e-transfer to [email protected] or via secure credit card payment using Square. Your team organizer will receive payment instructions via email once they have created the team.
  
• For Individuals: Individuals are charged a registration fee via Stripe during their sign-up on TeamLinkt.
  
• The fees are set based on whether or not you currently hold an ANA membership, and whether you are registering as part of an existing team or as an individual. 

What are the requirements to hold an ANA membership?

• ANA memberships are for those who live in the province of Alberta and participate in netball provisions in the province. Your membership fee helps to cover liability insurance for our members, and allows you access to register for local leagues, trial and play for our provincial programs, and provides voting rights within our organization. The fee for the 2024/2025 membership year is $25.
