Insurance & Injury Reporting
Uh oh... Injury?
It is essential that all Injuries are recorded using the Accident & Injury Reporting Form within 24 hours of occurrence, a copy of which is to be forwarded to Alberta Netball Association via email to: [email protected].
Insurance Coverage
Alberta Netball Association covers its Members with Commercial General Liability and Sport Accident Insurance* protection.
The Alberta Netball Association insurance policies apply specifically to registered players, coaches, umpires, Alberta Netball Association directors and staff, volunteers registered in member's record at ANA sanctioned events.
The medical expense coverage is "excess" or the "second payer" and requires other collectable private insurance i.e, group medical/dental plan, governmental plan or program, or personal medical/dental coverage to respond first before the "excess" Accident policy will pay any benefits. If you incur medical or dental expense due to your loss, you are required first to submit those expenses to your group/government/private medical or dental plan. Only expenses NOT covered by MSP (the provincial plan for the province that you reside in) will be considered.
*Any primary coverage you have in excess of the provincial plan must also be utilized first.
If in the event your personal medical/dental plan does not provide full reimbursement, you are then eligible to submit the amounts NOT PAID for processing:
