Land Acknowledgement
Alberta Netball Association is based in Calgary, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, an area traditionally known as Moh'kins'tsis to the Blackfoot people. ANA serves and represents the netball community of Alberta, who occupy the lands of Treaties 6, 7, and 8, as well as Métis and Inuit territories and nations. We make this acknowledgement as an act of gratitude and reconciliation towards both the land and those who have cared for this land for generations. We recognise the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, particularly calls 87 to 91, which pertain to sport, and seek to continually reflect on our role in true reconciliation.
