In this role, you will deliver engaging, beginner-level netball instruction focused on skill development, teamwork, and active participation in a fun and safe environment.
About the Role:
- Full-time position running netball sports camps throughout the summer.
- Camps will primarily take place in Calgary and surrounding areas.
- Provide enthusiastic coaching and support to young participants, fostering interest and enjoyment in netball.
- Assist with camp setup, equipment management, and administrative tasks as needed.Opportunity to develop coaching and leadership skills in a supportive environment.
About You:
- Energetic, passionate, and enthusiastic about youth involvement in team sports.
- Willingness and ability to learn the sport of netball quickly.
- Experience working with children or youth, preferably in instructional or recreational settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with participants, parents, and fellow staff.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Requirements:
- Vulnerable sector clearance check (to be completed once position is offered).
- Current government-issued class 5 driver’s license.
- Availability to work full-time throughout the summer camp season.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with minor sports associations or volunteer boards.
- Access to a vehicle capable of transporting camp equipment.
- Coaching accreditation and/or experience with youth sports programming.
- Current First Aid certification.
