Technical Director & Coach Hello everyone, my name is Jenny. I have ten years of coaching experience between England and Canada. I moved in Calgary in 2017 to live in this beautiful province, but a fun fact about me is that even though I'm English, I don't like tea! I have coached many teams over the years, including coaching at the Blue Jay's Netball Club UK (juniors and seniors), Albert Wildroses ladies and mixed teams, the Alberta U21 team at the Western Canadian Championships in 2023 and I was the Assistant Coach to the Alberta Opens team at the Canadian National Championships in 2023. Youth Development Director & Junior Program Coach I’m Igal, and I’ve just wrapped up my first full year coaching netball, with our program growing by leaps and bounds! Coaching netball has been a thrilling journey, and I’m excited to see so many new faces join the great game of Netball. With over 15 years of coaching experience in tennis and multisport programs, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding around 500 players each summer, many of whom returned year after year. My background includes NCCP certification and specialized tennis certifications, so I bring a wealth of experience to the court. Outside of netball, I’m all about staying active with team sports and tennis. I also love capturing moments through photography and exploring new destinations around the globe. 📸🌍 Looking forward to making more great memories with all of you on the court! #CoachIggy Erika Alabado

Jessica Young
Youth Development Squad Coach Hi, my name is Jess and I am the current Youth Development Squad (YDS) coach. I have been coaching netball since 2012, and am so grateful to be able to continue to do so at home in Alberta. I have held numerous coaching roles within Netball Alberta and have coached sessions for all levels – if you've been to a training session recently we've certainly crossed paths! I've previously been the ANA Junior Coordinator and our Strength & Conditioning coach, but I most enjoy getting to coach our U16 and U18 level athletes in the YDS program. I am passionate about youth sport, and deeply believe that excellence in sport teaches you how to be an excellent person first and foremost. My programs focus heavily on building intrinsic motivation, self-confidence, and strong teamwork skills – of course with a heavy dose of netball skills and tactics, and injury prevention strategies along the way. As a player, I have had the opportunity to represent Alberta on our provincial squads for many years, and U21 Team Canada in 2016. I have continued my passion for competitive sport through playing for several clubs in Alberta, traveling across North America for the best competitions each year. I seek to share this love and provide the same opportunities I have had with upcoming players through individualised and focused coaching. Qualifications:

Edmonton League Coach Current Coaching Role: Edmonton Netball Coaching Experience: Sport, particularly netball, swimming, and rugby, has always been a significant part of my life. I was fortunate to be a carded athlete and play for my country in rugby for 10 years. During this time, I was mentored by some amazing coaches from the All Blacks, Black Ferns, and provincial programs. These experiences have provided me with invaluable insights into coaching and have profoundly shaped my coaching philosophy. With over 12 years of coaching experience, I have had the privilege of shaping and guiding players to reach their full potential. My journey in coaching began with local club teams, where I led them to provincial championships, demonstrating my ability to build winning teams from the ground up. I then had the opportunity to be an assistant coach for the Pandas university team at the U of A and the Edmonton Gold Women's team, further expanding my expertise. In 2018, I was honored to be named Coach of the Year in Edmonton for rugby. For the past eight years, I have been deeply involved with Netball Edmonton. When I first started volunteering as a coach, the club was small and relatively unknown. Through dedication and hard work, I have witnessed its tremendous growth. Today, Netball Edmonton is a strong club that competes successfully across the province, a testament to the collective effort and commitment of everyone involved. I love the challenge of getting the best out of players and creating a team culture that is fun but also unstoppable! Qualifications:
