What is the AGM?
As a registered society under the Government of Alberta Societies Act, ANA is required to host an Annual General Meeting (AGM) once per year, where the membership has the opportunity to review updates from the executive board, review finances, elect the new board, and vote on any matters brought forward.
The Next AGM
The Alberta Netball Association (ANA) 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday November 16th, 2024 at Southland Leisure Centre during the Calgary League Tournament. A hybrid option will be available – please contact [email protected] for the link or more information.

Voting Eligibility
Those eligible to vote are members registered before November 1st, 2024 who were 16 years of age and over at the time of their 2024-2025 Alberta Netball Association Membership application.
Financial documents can only be moved and seconded by those 18 years of age and over at the time of their 2024-2025 Alberta Netball Association Membership application.

Previous AGM Minutes
The previous years ANA AGM minutes will be brought forward for approval by the membership at the AGM. Please take the time to review them in advance.
Executive & Financial Reports
The Executive Reports and Financial Reports have been prepared by the current ANA Executive Board and will be brought forward for approval of the membership with the annual AGM. Please take the time to review them in advance.
Special Resolutions
On occasion, the Executive will bring forward a special resolution to be voted on by the membership, as per our bylaws. This year, the Executive has finished a several year long review in updating our bylaws to reflect our current organization structure and best practice. The new bylaws are attached below for your reference, and their adoption will be voted on at the 2024-2025 AGM.

Executive Board Positions
All executive board positions are available for nomination every year. If you would like to nominate yourself for any of the positions below, please fill out the link below with the role you intend to nominate for and your nomination bio by the end of day on the Wednesday prior to the AGM. We will confirm eligibility of all nominees before posting the nominations.
All current executive roles will "retire" at the AGM, though those individuals are welcome to nominate for their roles again. If you are interested in a role, we encourage you to reach out to the retiring board member to learn more about the scope and responsibilities of the portfolio.
All nominee bios will be added to this website on Thursday November 21st, 2024. Nominations will be accepted up to the voting period at the AGM. Nominees may name themselves at the AGM during any of the three calls to the floor for nominees.
