- My background is in Mechanical Engineering, and I am a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA. I work for an oil and gas engineering company in a Project Controls and Corporate Services role, which includes operations planning, human resources and safety. I have had an active role on the ANA executive board as the strategic planning director and have enjoyed being given the opportunity to give back to the sport that I have been involved with for over 35 years in a variety of capacities - player, umpire, junior coach, YDS provincial team manager and most rewardingly, mum of netball players who have inherited a love of the sport. I am passionate about the opportunities that playing netball brings on so many levels to our players, and am keen to have the opportunity to further strengthen and develop all opportunities to play and support netball in Alberta.

- Igal Novogrebelsky
- Hello, I'm Igal Novogrebelsky, and I'm running for the Youth Development Director position with ANA. I've been playing netball for the last 18 months and following the sport for several years. I'm excited about the opportunity to leverage the experience gained from successfully transforming a singular summer tennis camp into a city-wide, year-round tennis program. My journey has centered around developing engaging and skill-enhancing programs for children, promoting an environment where they feel accomplished and enthusiastic about returning for future sessions. Throughout this process, I've acquired numerous tennis coaching certifications, including NCCP instructor courses specifically tailored for developing fun and rewarding kids programs. This success led me to eventually establish my own tennis coaching business, where I taught over 500 students each summer. In addition to tennis, I've expanded my expertise by overseeing multisport programs and summer camps for children. As I embark on this new adventure in netball, I am eager to apply the valuable lessons learned from my past experiences, aiming to develop a thriving netball community that not only excels on the court but also promotes the personal growth of young athletes who will one day play a key role in expanding the reach with Netball Alberta.
